Ps, wish me luck on finding a 56 or 57.

I'm looking for something for $100, but I think that I may have to go for a little bit more. ;)

You may want to check on getting two corral spaces back to back.
That would be good for the entire week end. Stop by spaces k68-k72 and say hi.

I went there on Thursday and there is plenty of parking on Clay street for $40/ week end. Just a short walk from the gate. There were campers there too.

Now the bad news, no deals there. All of them are very overly priced, even if I waited until Sun night, and the prices were cut in half, they would be over priced.

I think that all the vendors have given up buying lottery tickets in favor of winning big at the show.

1956 vett. body, well beaten, full of repairs that should be done over, no parts, not a bolt or screw left on it. The price? only $18000.

1956 vett. looks good from 50 feet. Needs complete restoration. only $55000

There were a lot of excellent ones though, starting @ $125000.

I've been looking for something in the $100 range for years. Good luck with that one.

Well I finally found my latest car,(like I need another one) a 57 Corvette just like what I wanted. (I did have to go a little over my $100 budget though)

It needs a little work though. I had planed to do a frame off anyway, so I will drive it a little until the snow falls and then get out the wrenches.

It has a 350 and an Oldsmobile rear axle installed, I wonder what the benefit of that was?

Talk about rare cars, this one, out of 6000 cars made, this is one of about 1000 that didn't have a heater and I had to buy that one !

Congrats! Yeah, I brought a Vette to sell at the Corvettes at Carlisle event that you attended. Very few well-built/finished cars were selling. There were indeed some bargains to be had, yet they werent selling. It was a strange crowd, reminded me of a flea market mentality. Everyone seemed to be searching for gold but looking to pay aluminum prices. It was a fun weekend though.

By the way, I parked my trailer right next door to gate 3 for $10/day.
