Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Bruce Fischer, Aug 19, 2013.

  1. The one side of the motor mount didn't line up with hole in the frame so I drilled the whole a little larger to make it fit. Trans cross member bolted right up no room for adiustment. Now I went and put the fan on and the belts for the power steering and generator and they wont line up, Like the motor is not back far enough but every thing bolted up right .Any suggestions?I am gonna go up and get a stiff drink!!!!! Bruce.

  2. Maybe your radiator is not forward enough ???

  3. Did you install the motor mounts backwards?,,you probably have a right and left,,if so you only have a 50% chance of getting it wrong. HRP

  4. No they both are the same.Gotta cool off and look at it tomorrow. Thanks Bruce.

Why would the motor mount holes, or the position of the motor have anything to do with the alignment of the belts? Those things have nothing to do with whether the pullys are aligned. A photo of the problem might help to arrive at a solution.

  10. I took back apart to see if I did something wrong.I will put it back together and post a picture TUE.Thanks Bruce.
