ID Artillery Wheels

Can anyone help me ID the wheels above?

They look like Chevy artillery wheels, and (lucky you), they are 5 bolt- VERY desirable to hot rodders

 

No no, not Chevy at all. Those are mid 30's International Harvestor artillery wheels. They too were made by Kelsey Hayes. Those are desirable wheels!

 

That wheel is a General Jumbo Ford wheel.

 

Any idea of a value on them so I can get them sold?

^^^Check the bolt pattern before you do anything else. That will determine the desirability and going rate. They look like the wheels on my 1936 Hupmobiles which are the same as Dodge/Plymouth - made by Budd Mfg - and should be 5 on 4.5" BP. I have four sets of these....

 

What about these? from what I have seen in the previous pages they look like Kelsey Hayes but im still not for sure. They are 5x5.5 and have a ring on the centers rather than clips. sorry they would not photograph well.

 

are these 17 inch wheels ?

 

no they are 16. not real sure about the width.
I bought 2 of them at an estate sale and I have not got around to taking the tires off. I would like to see if I could find 2 more.

 

I'm pretty sure these are Ford Kelsey Hayes artillerys. Either that, or they are Budd's which was later bought out by Kelsey Hayes. These wheels can have have the ring style center or the clips for connecting the center cap.

For what it's worth - if you find wheels with the clips, Jimmy at rally america can swap them out for the rings like you have.

 

They look identical to the ones on my '32:



These I believe are Kelsey-Hayes, they were posted here some time ago. I've still not inspected them closely as I've been working on other projects and have still not gotten to it. I only have the four, though, so if you ever find some more or decide to sell, I'd be interested in at least one.

Mine are 16" x 4-1/2" if I'm not mistaken.

Deuce_Eddie - Do you have a picture of your wheel in the post above with a hubcap installed? I've never seen one of these style centers with a hubcap installed.

 

Anybody able to help me out as to what these where originally on?? They look similar to the red one in the post above, but if you look close there are 2 more "spokes". They are 16" with 5 X 5-1/2" bolt pattern. Forgot to measure the width. Thanks for any help.

I would also like to see the hup caps if you have one

 

Fairly certain those are Buick wheels. Can't remember the years, either 34-35 or 35-36 60-series Buick.

Sorry guys, but mine came to me as you see. I've been enquiring about this here, and being aftermarket wheels, and also based on the ring dimensions, the conclusion seems to be that they're meant to be used with 40-42 Ford hubcaps.

You are right! Those are mid thirties Buick wheels.

 

I haven't read every post here but THANKS! In case not everone tells you so.
I have a fairly large collection of artillery wheels and I've used your info.

 

BTW, check out the IHC artillery wheels on my avatar!

Anyone recognize this one? 16" 5 on 5" bolt pattern, has hubcap clips and holes between each lug hole for a locating pin, like a 50's Buick wheel. I haven't found a match to it anywhere in this thread or anywhere else yet.

Help requested identifying this pair. Also if anyone has a match to them in 15" I am interested.

Old tire states: Atlas Truck Coach. 6.00-17. 5 x 5-1/2".

Hi all, I recently acquired a 35 Plymouth coupe and am looking for a set of four or five wheels for it. I do have a set of wide five's (16') from a 37 ford for trade or sale if anyone is interested? Can anyone tell me an average value for these wheels? Cheers Dana

 

Just wondering what I might find another one of these on? 17 x 3 1/4 with a 5 on 4 1/2 bolt pattern? Would that be a 30's Dodge? thanks for any help with ID .
