I wasn't there or see the car, but I could see $2100.00 to the right guy assuming there was a title and vin plate. The muncie 4 speed and 12 bolt doesn't hurt either.

The Auburn/Cord is being kept by Mrs. Thompson.

20 yrs ago when Terry showed us (my wife, then girlfriend) around, I remember 2-4 other Cord Duesenberg Auburn type cars in the garage. It was all out of my price range and don't even remember if it was for sale then. Funny 20 years later seeing the same cars with 20 years more of rot selling for scrap prices.

I'm still pissed and annoyed I was 2-3 seconds too late in trying to buy that 1953. (Waiting for 8-9 straight hours to buy 2 cars and missing by seconds is like a kick in the nuts with a hour drive home of feeling sick!!) :(

  7. I can sell like six parts off one of those deliveries and do $1500 and scrap the rest. Try buying those side trim pieces and get back to me on "not worth half of $1500" ...

I liked seeing all the people coming from all over , far distances and saying "Everything is....all rusy" , what did they expect. I went with chromerat looking for a Muncie or a BBC but took a couple looks at the trans and passed. Damn i wanted that red 55 so bad , and id have paid $2200 or what ever it went for even though it only needed everything.

Bumed me out to see all the cool stuff being this close to home and never going to see it go down the road again so i left after an hour and a half..........got my $25 worth

There were 1400 bidders registered by days end, so I'm still laughing at the prices that they paid for some of the crap at this auction. Every engine appears to have been left out in the horse pasture or a river bottom. All had water in them, but they got sold anyways.

The "hi-end" feature cars were even more of a head scratcher to me. The 34 cpe lookes pretty nice but after paying $33k for it, the new owner got quite a shock. He found out there were no brakes when he went for a drive to his trailer.

The Anglia & the Willys both needed to be torn down & properly redone, as neither looked safe to drive on today's roads. This T Woody (?) was a No Sale at $7k, which I thought was way too much for what it is.

I liked the 64 Mopar, but Highlander and I disagreed about if it was worth the $2300 the new owner paid for it.
