I gotta say that the volumes of information on this forum is mind numbing! I remember when this forum started and I was a member early on. I was more into bike stuff at the time and it was growing like a weed back then! I found it again when I was doing some research on different ways to build my motor last week. On a different forum that was all touring billet barges with dumb horsepower ratings that will probably never be reliable on the street a guy had asked about some vintage race parts he wanted to use for his Pontiac and a guy snarkly referred him here.

Gotta say I found the right community for me again. Right off the bat after I posted about my ride and my thoughts about building it I recieved complimentary, encouraging, resourceful and friendly posts. And a couple e-mail offering up some parts at an outstanding price!

Thank you for making an old hotrod dreamer feel welcome. This forum reminds me of guys I hung around growing up and a few guys I used to ride with. We all helped each other keep the iron on the road. Selling, lending, sweating over a brothers ride with him. Very cool.

One of the great things about it is that we have running threads of info on certain subjects. Every time someone finds out some new bit of information on a particular subject, it's added to the database. How many times have you Googled something only to have the top headings referring you back to the HAMB? There are a lot of hot rod & custom sub-categories were the HAMB is the definitive source. So, if you have something to add, add it. There's still a lot of unknown history out there.

I will add for sure! As far as the '58? Nope, not on the road. I started a thread about it though. Almost have the motor completely torn down.

I've been on the Hamb a good while and am constantly amazed at the wealth and depth of knowledge available for the asking.

    Welcome back. HRP

This is the place to ask a question. I don't know on how many other boards I've seen people bein' directed to The HAMB, because "that's the place you'll get an answer if there is one to be had".

I never stop being amazed at what you guys know and can help other with.
