In my 57 buick theres a little box with numbers showing in it. Its next to the speedo on the left. Ive never noticed till the other day. I figured somebody here would know.
speed minder should be a knob just to the left of the brake warning lamp to adjust the speed that it is set at. It will buzz at the set speed if it still works.
This answer is correct. (the numbers are to the left of the speedo sweep, and are set at 110. NOT the mileage or trip indicators)
Lol Fastlane1 the speed that it's set at goes with your name to do a 110mph you have to be in the fastlane aka the number 1 lane
Many years ago went with my grandfather to pick up his new Buick. As we were driving away from the dealership there was a buzzer that went off. He made a U-turn and went back to the dealer. It was the speed alarm. The salesman never mentioned it.
Mikes51Merk, I had a speed alarm on a '60 Bonneville. I believe it was a second needle on the speedometer, and you set it like an old fashion alarm clock. When the needles lined up, the alarm went off.
A lot of the GM trucks had them: https://www.google.com/search?q=speed+warning+gauge+site:67-72chevytrucks.com&biw=1394&bih=779
Here's a quick example (his sounds a little sick) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkybiJ156v0 Seems like most of them eventually get put up to 110
