V8-60 Fabricated

I stopped at a Racecar Museum..This V8-60 caught my eye...Can any one say who built it? The fellow that saved it from the s**** pile only had a guess from someone as to who built it..Notice cylinders cast in pairs [notice topside exhaust, fabbed manifolds], bolted to aluminum cast crankcase from inside I would guess..Engine was run hard enough to blow up as in one pic can see the peice missing from the pan rail, bellhousing mounting surface not much larger than OD of flywheel..

Um, yes...I thought everything was fine cause they all loaded one shot but in checking I found they wouldn't enlarge, I don't know what to do, maybe only post couple at a time?

OK, me try again..Still can't enlarge..??? If some one can do a fix jump in, I don't know what else to try..

 

Test for new HAMB and new 8.1..Pics open really good here full screen..fingers crossed..
