First off I have no way of weighing my truck. Now the cab is a 1948 International KB-5 on a 1979 Chevy 1 ton dually frame. I plan to bob and Z the rear frame section. The pictures are of my truck and how plan to build it. I have already bought a triangulated four link kit for it. I plan to run coil overs at an angle but am unsure of spring rate. Any help would be great.

with really not much to put weight on the rear axle you'll probably want a fairly light spring. for several early trucks we've done here at the shop we've floated between 200-300lb ratings. we are a dealer for afco and heidts and have great relationships with both and as long as the springs aren't marred up can be swapped out for different rates if need be. it'll cost you the price of shipping a set back and having the new set shipped to you but they've done it no problem. I can usually call the guys at afco and get a pretty good recommendation but i'd bet even they'd be guessing when doing on a bobber truck.

if you want give me a call at the shop 704-462-1051 and I can see what the guys here and see if the guys at afco have an opinion...ken....

Thanks luckystiff for your help. Sorry I missed your call. I work 2nd shift and had already headed into work. I went with 250# spring rate. I ordered them this morning. Thanks again for your time.
