Looks good Dan, I'll be watching your build. I'm chopping my top at the end of the month. I'll post pics as we are doing it. Glad I could help with some of the ch***is stuff. C-Notch looks good. Should not have to fish plate that area after it is welded up. It will be plenty strong as is. A t-spring would help you out a lot more than that a-spring.

    Dan,
The notch is behind the spring so the only stress is holding the body up behind it. It should be fine just like it is. The coupe looks GREAT! Keep the pictures coming.Subscribed.

Take another look at the pictures. The C-notch is forward of the spring/crossmember. It still will not need any plating if you get good penetration on the notch as long as the frame is boxed.

It has taken me some time but I am starting to like the '33 and '34 cars more and more. Builds like this one are a big reason why! Love it so far

Actually the chop is going really well and the top is back on Kenny's welding everything back up and I'm hoping to be out here either Friday or Saturday morning. He started on it Monday. I never seen a guy welding entire car up without a welding shield I swear he must have either a 12 or 13 Lenses in his head
