Hi Everybody, I've been looking through the H.A.M.B. for years for pointers with my project and decided it was time to put myself out there to see if I could help with anyone else's projects. I'm looking forward to picking a few of your brains too. I'm an active member of the Roxborough Ridge Runners Car Club and have learned a lot from the old school car guys. Before that, like many of you, my dad was the major driving force in my love for cars. Kindergarden was carpooled in my mom's '70 Chevelle and dad hauled our fire wood, among other things, in his '72 El Camino. Now it's his '61 vette and my '65 Impala SS that demand our efforts. That's just a taste of where I'm from. Glad to be on the H.A.M.B. now and I look forward to talking to you all. In the Left Lane and Loud, John D. Jr.
Very belated "welcome", John. I searched to see what was on the HAMB about "Roxborough Ridge Runners" and this thread came up. I was just at a couple of their Thursday meets at Domino Lane and from that and a few friendly invitations I plan to join if they let in a weird old guy with a '32 roadster. Hope to see you around.
Thanks Nick, That's great! We like to say we welcome any car guy or girl, who isn't an asshole in the club. Although it can be argued that a few did sneak in. haha. I'll keep an eye out for you on Thursdays. Weather looks promising tonight as long as we're tucked in before dark. Hope to see you there. FYI we're holding a show on Saturday, Sept 7th at St. Mary's Church. 9am-11am checkin.
