This may be old news to some, but I just caught the notice on another forum that Vic Sala p***ed away March 31st. From the Model T Ford Speedster HOF site. "A well known 1930's norther California racecar driver and mechanic... Vic is today (2005) 91 years young and is building yet another Model T Ford Speedster for a good friend. Vic says this will be his last, but we're not convinced. Vic says "If I finish this car, I will have restored a total of 16 cars: two Model A's; one racer, one Speedster and 14 Model T Speedsters, all different in looks and body style. I have rebuilt about 10 complete racing engines.
I was fortunate to correspond with him in the mid 90's and he graciously would keep me informed of his progress in building some of these cars. Enjoy the pictures

He was one of the very first T speedster guys I ever read about back in the early 1960's. Prayers going out to his family and friends.

I have just taken delivery of Vic's number 16 car. It is wonderful and a credit to his skill.
