Beautiful work my friend, can't wait to see it on the road in my rear view mirror, ha ha. Much better than that newish chevy you've been sporting around in.

    Man Rolf, that looks great.

By the way, Rolf has friends but he's Swedish, so not only is he STUBBORN, he also PREFERS to work alone.:D

And Rolf, the right taillight is about 1 1/2mm higher than the right..................
    Just teasing.

Just wondering who coated your headers? they look nice. Not to be nosey but was it reasonable. I have been debating coating or painting. Some coatings look so milky when they are silver colored.

The build up of your COupe has been such a inspiration to so many. You put such a nice and smooth touch to the whole car and in the end it will be be one of my all time favorites. Great job and good luck with the new shop.

Dat Dirty Rat: The 58 is stored at an undisclosed location. I am currently collecting parts for a 348 tri-power 4 speed conversion, but I am not going to touch it until the hot rod is done. It drives fine with the 283 for now.

el Scotto: Ford 16 inch, 7:50 in rear, 6:00 in front.

Morrisman: Yes, I was used to a larger shop, but I am in permit stage for the new shop, so hopefully before this winter is over...

rustymetal: Since Jan 03, off and on...

Bib: Ha, Yes, all HAMBers are my friends, except the don't live a block away, so I can't ask them over to help with lifting the body.

29 sedanman: It's a custom mix, the finish is Flex-n-flat, gives it the satin look, but UV resistant. (Loggy's idea)

Headers: Performance Coating in Auburn. $300.00? ) I agree, they have a little "milkiness" to them, I suppose it would be more "old-timey" looking to chrome them, but it always turns blue, and I like the idea of a thermal barrier. The down tubes in black are also coated, so hopefully the inside will stay somewhat cool in the summer.

hudsoncustom: Yeah, I probably should live up there, more hot rodders. I live in Woodinville, and my neighbors are all Microsofties etc, and they don't get it, so it just wouldn't be right to ask them to come over. ...but I DO have SOME friends !! :D

Man, I'm sure your car looks better in person, don't try to be modest with such a great car. Thanks for the reply about all our inquiries. About your headers, I think your coating looks great, it is some of the others I have seen that look so milky they are almost white that I don't care for.

the project is looking great. Love the firewall set back. your method of getting the body on looks interesting (not sure how you have it held up in the just before install pic. (cherry pick thru the door ??)

I did my sedan body myself also, but I used 2 4x4x8 and 4 jack stands and a jack. Let each jack down a notch or two as I went around the car until the wood almost touched, then placed a jack under the rear to raise up and remove the 4x4 and let it down (I think I put a 2x4 under it) then lowered the front off the wood... Took me 20 minutes from start to finish...

A well executed A coupe on 32 rails, that is cool!

Woodinville doesn't smell too pretty if I remember right. That's near Marysville isn't it? That really looks like one of my Father in law's duplexes (or is it a single home with 2 doors?). Pretty country, nice car, DANG!

Jeem: Woodinville smells good, but they are putting in the new Brigh****er sewage plant north of us, and even though they promise a "no-smell" plant, that's was one of the reasons we moved to this new location further south, but still in Woodinville.
Also, it's FLAT here, lived on a steep hill before. NEVER again.

There is a whole section on the firewall. Just round tubing and lots of grinding ! :D

  30. Wow Rolf - You definitely have the talent to build one swell real normal style looking hot rod. I hope to see more of your pictures as your project progresses. Hey all you guys up in Rolf's neck of the woods; "Why don't you all get together and start the first annual cruise to Rolf's house".Bring along buckets of fried chicken,etc...good timings to be had, the worst that could happen is you would all have a great time..:D :D :D Gary 4T950 Chevy Guy
