    what front coil springs can you install in a 55 chevy to raise it up? thanks

    Think the guys around San Jose used '57 Chev station wagon springs.

    But the spring dealer everybody uses now makes fresh ones for lowered, raised, etc.

    I thought I was told at one time you could use impala 409 springs and it would raise the front end?

    638 and 656 are listed by Rockauto for the 55.

    You can see some alternate Moog springs here.

    The compare height are the difference in fender heights.

    There is also an aluminum block/spacer that put the upper ball joint lower
    with raises the front of the car...
