ok guys not trying to start another thread on "lowering" a twin i beam f100. i have already did the reverse shackle 4 inch drop in the back and know the next step is flipping the springs and notching the frame. my question is more for the front. i have already rebuilt the front end and put the djm drop beams on it. it looks good but i still want lower. i also understand the whole caster camber bit with cutting coils but has anyone taken just 1 coil out to sit it down a little more? just looking for any other option that someone else may have done in the past. i know the patch to low low is with a new front clip and that is in the future but was looking for something i could do now and keep cruising. any info is greatly appreciated. thanks guys
You can take a coil or two off if you want, but the more you take off the more neg. camber you will have. You might be able to have the beams bent back straight at a big rig shop.
thanks guys, i was thinking of taking 1 coil off to see what it did to my camber and going from there. ive heard people say that frame shops cant bend these junky dream beams so wanted to start gradual. i think its gonna be one coil cut off and if it messes my camber up to much ill be looking for replacement full length springs again.
hey supervert i know you said you had a widened s-10 clip under yours. stupid question but how did you get it widened? ive been looking at possibly doing a cv front swap, im guessing its all one in the same right? just whichever you have access too or is cheaper maybe?
