EDIT: I have changed the title to 35-36 instead of the 33/34, as Dave gave the measurement on the 33/34, which is still too narrow. I have an old channeled car that is missing the radiator and shell. There are 2 custom radiator mount brakets welded/moulded to the front frame with one hole per side, and each hole is more towards the rear, like a 32 radiator I tried. The 32 radiator is made with those holes towards the rear, rather than centered with the core. But the 32 radiator is roughly 2" too narrow. One side fits the offset bracket hole perfectly. So, I never owned a 33/34 pickup radiator, but I thought they are wider? (those 33/34 truck radiators/shells were used on hot rods around the Northeast, so I am just guessing right now). Thanks in advance
Thanks for the measurement, Dave. That is still about 2" too narrow for these mounts. Car was built in the Boston area, and some old survivors there, have the oval 38-39 Ford truck grill, but I thought those frames are the same through 40, and a 40 radiator is 2" too wide. So, my last guess is 35-36 Ford truck? I have seen a couple of old rods with those shells. The original builders son is still looking for some missing pics that were taken at an Autorama back then; I guess I can hope that he can find them. EDIT: I just changed the thread title to read 35/36...
