Customs Chopped Merc in new Doritos Commercial

Has anyone seen the new Doritos commercial? It has a beautiful chopped merc with flames in it. Would love to see more pictures of that car. The flames on it really look good. Figured someone here knows all about that car......

 

The one in the Taco Bell (dorito) commericial?It's Bad Bob's here on the HAMB.

Saw it last night and thought it was bad bobs(Mr. Hollywood)ha ha ha but he doesn't have yellow flames in the very front but a good looking car.

I saw Bad Bob at the Old Crow Speed Shop on Saturday and he was telling me about the photo shoot for Taco Bell.I guess they changed the color of the flames for the commericial.

 

Yeah I've seen Bob's merc, but was thinking it wasn't his because the flames were multi colored..... It only shows it for a sec.

Yep...it's mine! I've been waiting to see if it actually happens. So many times they change their minds and go a different direction. I was lowering my buddies Mustang when Gabriel called me and said he saw it on Spike channel. We put it on in the garage and went it came on I went" WTF! They changed my flames!!"
I like them better all red....but some Ad guy had a brain storm I guess. What can I say...Right place-Right time!
I haven't told anybody,cause I was told not to share my pic's or post anything til after it aired. Guess i'll have to send my pic's to my son's phone so he can send them to my computer.

It starts out with a Firetruck,and one guys says "What do you think the new flavor will be?". My Merc is about the third or fourth shot.

So did they actually paint your flames, or did they do that on a computer? I'm torn which version I like better. The all red is cool, but that's a real nice fade on them there, too.

 

You think I would let them change my flames? No,they photoshopped it. Not a fan of fade-away flames. On a Hotrod,sure...

 

Looks great with the yellow fade.

I saw it last night while I was watching Bar Rescue. Definitely made me stop in my tracks and rewind the DVR for a sec. The flames and fade looks totally sick, with a real hot rod/custom hybrid look that's real hard to pull off.

 

How famous can one guy get? Congrats, Bob.

LOL...so tell us how you really feel. I figured they probably did it after based on your surprise it had been done, but you never know what folks get talked into in deals like this, so I thought I would ask. Had it been real, I was certain you would have made sure they put them back "right" afterwords.

(So if you aren't a fan of faded flames on customs, how do you feel about faded ghost flames? Me either....but I'm stuck with them for a while yet. LOL)

 

There actually already is one that's pretty close,but it came out before the chopped version.

 

I like all red flames too and congrats Blue Balls!!!!!! Ha ha ha
