OK boys and girls I ran across this 260 Poly Plymouth.

Only made two or three years than changed to the "A" blocks. It needs crank work by the add. But for a $100.00 it should be a good buy for some one. The stock HP ratting was around 170hp and is around 70 HP more than a flat head from the get go.

I am conflicted either this motor for my 53 plymouth or the flat head either would look cool.
It would but a crimp in the budget , what else is new. I wished I have the money but than I would have a flat head half built so I guess it will be for the better to let it go.

HELP Some one talk me into this, might need shelter from wife.

This motor is located in Vancouver Wa.

That could make a Hemi with the proper pistons and heads .

Finding a good crankshaft can get costly.

There was a long thread on here where a guy put one in a '49 (I think) Plymouth. Getting a crank ground is about 80-$100 around here. I have one of those sitting in my shop. I'll never get to it. I think they are cool engines.

That could be a big reason just to stay with the flat head.
Tanks TR Waters that can help me sleep easier, besides this way I do not have to tell the wife why I bought another engine.

It would still make a cool engine for some one who could take a gamble. I hate to see this person sell it for s****e.
