A friend of a friend donated this grille shell to my rod project.
His best guess was 26 Pontiac. Its close, but I dont think so. The shape is almost right but not exactly and the stamped area for the car's name badge is different.
And... yes Ive googled every possible year and make I can think of to find a match, without luck.

Anyone know what it came from?

I dont believe its any year of Oakland or Pontiac. They have more sculpting along the top.

^ I think it is the winning answer. That upper part of the shell has a bulge in it, and it looked soooo familiar, and now with the name White, I realize that much earlier Whites had a similar bulge.

just looked up white in the Truck Spotters Guide, and yes, it is White.

Problem is that White made so many sizes each year, and the shells are different sizes.

that bulge was very pronounced on the earliest Whites and gets smaller each year, in this book. Roughly 29-33 in age, likely a smaller model in size.

Hmm thats a very convincing possibility... the emblem is pretty much exactly right.
    I'll research that...
