I just got the latest in the mail. Wow. It's good. Great friggin design and layout and really good idea of merging a calendar and a magazine. The whole thing is just really smart. Content? I would own and drive the **** out of every single car in that book. Great work guys.
I ****ing hate car magazines. Seriously. Don't get me wrong, the Rodder's Journal is my bible and Hop Up can do no wrong... but I just tolerate the rest. I fell in love with the thought and p***ion that went into this little rag. Just so well done...
I think that's what shows through so clearly with MagNeto......thought AND p***ion. The moment I saw Tony's post I knew I had to get them in. I only wish I could convince everyone else....but ya can only lead a horse to water....some get it, a lot never will.
Will be taking one off your hands next weekend Peddro. It's always been my fave. Can't wait to see the 'new' magneto.....
Oh YEH!!! Gotta get my Mag-Neto fix from the MAG PIMP of Melbourne as soon as it comes in, maybe even next W/E, hey Mr P.
Agreed! I picked one up at the Alter Boys show in Worcester and after reading through it 3 or 4 times I hung it up in the shop just waiting for January '06.
Where can someone get copies? Does anyone have some for sale? I have heard tons of great things about it. The dumb idiot I was I seen a guy at Back to the 50's in June with them for sale and I did not pick them up. Stupid. Thanks in advance.
Agreed, this is a cool little magazine. I picked up like 8 early copies at a show I was at in July and have been reading them thouroughly. I like the Vroom on the back! It is also cool since my wife if from Ashburnham MA - Her dad was visiting and gave them all to him to check out. He is not really a car guy, but he could tell me where all the little towns and shops were at. He also digs the car I am working on. He asked all kinds of questions. It sort of help him see what direction I was going with my car. I am going to take them with me when I have to go back up there and try and visit some folks. Very cool. I plan on subscribing real soon. It just makes me wish I lived up there.
Thanks guys! I really appreciate it. You can order them at my site www.mag-neto.com or from other vendors on the HAMB that might be closer to your location. Almost every shop that carries Hop Up, Kustoms Illustrated, Barracuda, Garage, etc. should have it. Just to clear up any confusion, the new calendar format is the only item now. No more small format and also no need to subscribe. I'll just send out a reminder every year when the new calendar is ready, or you can look for it at various shows and swap meets. Maybe someday circulation will be good enough to get it into Borders or Barnes and Noble but it's not there yet. Thanks again,
Ouch. Oh, wait, I work for a "truck" magazine. Nevermind. The latest issue of Mag-Neto sat on my shelf for a few weeks before I was informed that the calendar "was" the new issue. That's almost like having an unscratched winning lotto ticket lying around...well, almost.
Hi Tony seems like there is a lot of questions where to get it localy you should realy get a vendor list up on your page......
........don'tcha half ta have mop connections ta the publishing biz ta secure shelf space at Borders or Barnes& Noble?
Yeah- Tony- hats off to you man- you are a cool guy to meet in person and the mag rocks. Tahnsk for stopping by- feel free to come by anytime.
I too got my copy last week from Peddro. Great. My 15 year old grabbed it from the parcel as I unpacked it, and started going through it commenting on the neat pics of the neat rides. Well done! Maybe I'll have to hang it on the wall in the "can" rather than my office so we can share it. Michael
Can people still get copies from you? (thought I'd bump this back up for you dude) Stop by the shop anytime-= you know you can- Lenny needs a little *** whoopin once in a while from a traditional guy- remind him the world just aint all billet and metalflake...
