Hi all, just at the tail end of 4 week road trip to Bonneville and thought I would put up some of the photos I snapped.
This was my first time to Bonneville, and not an easy task to attend being a 26 year old Western Australian but I was just blown away by the variety of cars and awesome hot rods on display, both on the track and also the personal transport of spectators...I will definitely be back and will try and make as many El Mirage and Bonneville events I can from now on.
Bear in mind that hot rods of any persuasion are few and far between where I am from and if I saw any of these cars individually I would have spent hours looking over it, so this was a bit of sensory overload for someone such as myself unaccustomed to the 'scene'...

Anyways, photos (in no particular order):

My personal favourite car that I saw, if anyone has details on this please let me know! ->

The bare metal roadster with the Hemi and all the rivets is from here in Denver. I believe it was built at Pinkees.

Nice job on the pix. Hey, I know these guys... they ran out of speed this year because of their puny fuel pump and tiny lines. I think they'll be back. Gary

NEVER TOO LATE for Bonneville pictures!!! Great pictures, thank you for posting.

Bare metal roadster is owned by Larry Christensen, Arvada, CO.
Built at Pinkees Rod Shop. Featured in Street Rodder magazine not too long ago, don't remember the month of the issue though.
    From the web:
Pinkee’s Hot Rod Shop put a lot of work into this roadster, which started as a steel body from Brookville Roadsters. Frank Wallic created the custom bomber-style seating, which looks to have 1,000 hand-bucked rivets in it. Up front a 392 Hemi wasn’t enough, so a Hilborn electronic fuel injection system was used. The big motor backs to a TKO 600 five-speed, and a quickchange rear handles the power.
