Whats a good price for nailhead motor? Ive got one for sale but idk exactly what its worth. I had it rebuild at a local shop. Heads have been rebuild. Had to turn the crank over .10 i believe. Cylinders where in good shape just honed out. Sent the rocker arms to ta performance to get rebuild. It basically a new motor with about 6k of miles on it. Have it in an electra that has more rust than i have the skill to fix. Plus i cant seem to find the body panels for it either. Im gonna junk the body but keep the motor and tranny. I believe it has the switch pitch on it. Ive always just called it a kick down switch but im not sure. Im just a parts changer not a mechanic. Any info would b nice. I know most fuys on here are serious builders and i dont want to waste anybodys time. If i cant get a good price on the motor who know i may just keep it and try to find a frame and build something. First off you need more info, what size-year nailhead, get the code off block edge in front of valley pan to help I D engine. Go to internet to get production codes.

Looked on line. Those numbers dont matter. The "LT" says its a 401. Already knew that though. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!

I have a few Nailheads..........Last two I bought were very used but running(401'S) for $300 each. I never seem to get my money back on ones we rebuild.
