It's the weekend of 28-30 October at Lowe's Motor Speedway. http://www.good-guys.com/events/event_detail.asp?eventID=CHARLO05 I'll be there Sat & Sunday. Anyone else going (besides KIRK!)? Wanna meet somewhere?
I might have to go if if I'm get to hang out with some of you ****ers! Plus ya know I only live an hour away from the place.....
Got no tats What hair I got left is gray Older'n Dirt , Water , & Kerosene Been workin' on cars since they put horns on them Gonna hobble around there all day Saturday and would love to meet some of you characters.... Stan
Ok, I talked to the boss lady and we're gonna try to go on saturday since I guess that's when most of you guys will be there. Won't be driving anything cool though since I'll be too busy working on it to drive it. We'll have to come up with a time and place to meet up.
10:30 on Saturday sounds good. Maybe we could meet in the "Suede & Chrome" area? I'll be the tall skinny gray-haired guy in a "Jalopy Showdown" T-shirt.
I'll be there Friday, gotta earn those wages on Saturday back home. Not sure if I'll have one of my "jalopies" up and going by next week, but who knows? I'll see y'all there.
The wagon drives so good I might just have to drive it up there, hopefullly I'll be getting another windsheild for it there as well. Unless i'm balls deep in the bag install then I won't be able too.....Won't know until closer to time for it.
ok guys don't turn your tire's that is considered a burnout in thier eyes and you will be thrown out and cussed as i was at ft worth............hehehe have fun
10:30 on Sat in the Suede and Chrome section it is then.... I was going to wear my Jalopy Showdown shirt but that would be bad, would hate to confuse everyone....but then I would be the fat balding guy wearing the Jalopy Showdown shirt, I will be wearing my safari hat (or as Rocky calls it, my gardening hat.) and taking an *** load of pictures.
I'm planning to roll the '51 Shoebox with the family riding shotgun. The goal is to drive down early Saturday morning and spend the day. My kids are dieing to turn laps under the lights, so hopefully they will last that long before melting down. Hey, the Goodguys page says "no cans or bottles" on the grounds. Does that mean you can't bring a cooler full of sodas and beers? Looking forward to meeting a bunch of HAMBers in the suede and chrome section at 10:30. -murph
i thought the same thing at ft worth good guys at texas speedway so i took plastic well every where i looked was a coozie with a beer can in it and pop , i think bottles are a bad idea but dans seemed to be fine and everyone has a cooler with them .....but dont do a burn out !!!!
Everyone had beers at the last one I went too. As long as you don't it obvious or turn into a drunken *** I don't think theres any issues. I was looking on the website about registering at the show to drive in, but it doesn't say how much it costs at the gate. Anyone know? Will they even let me in with a car that has a busted *** old paint job? I'm gonna try REALLY hard to get it mostly in primer and bagged by then so it's more presentable.
If the Show in Charlotte gets boring, the ECTA Maxton meet is that weekend also. Not quite as cool as Bonneville, but a whole lot closer.
I'll be there Friday and Saturday. Hopefully the Crate will too. I'l be wearing the "don't burn your ears" hat with the pin that says "I Can't Drive 55" on it. The Suede and Chrome around 10:30 Saturday sounds good to me. I'll have a cooler of "Cokes" and "Fresca". Stanley aka Orange Crate
I am sure I'll be there atleast couple of those days.. I won't be drivin anythin cool though..... I'll be in the 5.0 with the rag top down so my hair can blow...
Well, I think me and Reece might go down there on Sat.Hope to meet some of you guys and get some stuff for the 58 too
