my 63 fairlane has drums all the way around, and i was wondering what it would take to convert to disc brakes without buying a huge expensive kits. will any early mustang spindles from a disc car fit on mine? i dont feel quite safe with just drums, so i need suggestions

Granda, Versailles? Might look into those conversions.

I did a galaxy years back on a string budget by turning the drum-esque parts into hubs on the lathe and making brackets from 4130. I had some KH 4 pistons from some fomoco sitting around that fit real nice. Used speedway rotor hats and $12 speedway rotors. Used the master and booster from an 80's crown Vic.

Find a Pull-A-Part and get '75-'80 Ford Granada, or Lincoln Versailles spindles, rotors, calipers, proportioning valve. You can use a power booster and master cylinder from the same car, or early 90's Ford Ranger. I've done this setup on numerous Falcons, and Fairlanes.
I just like using OEM parts with no aftermarket brackets/mix-mash parts.

Question on the scarebird on this Fairlane conversion

    https://scarebird.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=65&product_id=86

says uses 1968-69 Mustang rotors, 1979-85 Eldorado hoses and 1988-91 Chevrolet 1/2 ton truck calipers...

Is this is a modification of your original ranger conversion brackets? Curious if you still make the original brackets that used Ranger parts and a bearing spacer?

Why don't you include 62 Fairlane in your application years for these hubs:?

I believe they are the same 62-65
    Thanks,
    Roy

No, we stopped those a while back - the MUX was more economical and same stopping power.

We do list the Fairlane, just not the years.

    Question on this set-up: https://scarebird.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=65&product_id=86

How do you adapt your mustang rotors to the fairlane spindles? Using a collar like on the Ranger rotors?
