I have this black rubber-sealant from when I was putting a seal around the cab door (only to find it was too thick, and had to peel it off anyway). I've tried goo-be-gone and other products to no avail, what have you used that worked?

If it's Windo-Weld you're in for some fun.

I've learned to mask off both the gasket and the gl*** when applying that stuff.

Use a new single edge razor blade to carefully s****e the gl***. Mark the blade with a sharpie and use the same side once you start or you will scratch the gl*** if you flip the blade.
    Good luck

Hey Dave- I saw you were part of the NW car tour that pit-stopped at my Work in McKinleyville, last month, but I'll bet you didn't know yet I had a new job at Specialty Foreign Auto. It got so busy, the closest I got to saying Hi to you was sauntering to your car while the newsie interviewed you on camera. Tried to distract you, but your attention was fierce, man.
When is the Sea Cruise car show, Tudor?
Cruz N Eureka is Saturday, am managing Thursday's poker run, pre-reg bbq at Eureka Inn and Old Town cruise is Friday, show n shine is Saturday, season closer at Samoa Dragstrip is Sunday.

Mashed: it's 3M black sealant. Flat blade works, just wary of the paint.

  12. Tim, go to: www.northernknights.us for all the info abut Sea cruise...yeah, she heard the straight cuts in the Bug, and asked me for a few "sound bytes"...and of course, the only thing she used on the news was me saying "any idiot can keep one on the road with baling wire and duct tape" and "they were cheap and reliable" and then pointing at my car I said "and that one is now neither"...go figure
