Some pics to roll through over a cup of coffee... Greaserama 2013 changed venues this year and with no compe***ion from Goodguys yielded in my opinion there best show yet... at well over 700 rides at least as I was #708 at 1pm on Saturday. Great weather, Live music playing and great people abound... and not let us forget the great rides everywhere! Thanks to the Los Punk Rods for a great show, See you all Next Year! link to all my Greaserama Pics http://www.flickr.com/photos/neals49/sets/72157635348600776/ <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/neals49/9661591933/" ***le="Un***led by neals49, on Flickr"></a>
Those are some killer lookin machines. Nice to see rides that aren't so pristine and perfect, that's what makes hot rodding fun. The babes look pristine though.
Agreed also hogs storage on the Servers for the Forum... I got all the room in the world, relax and run through the pics... Thanks for stopping by!
Remote pics can be displayed in a thread by referring to the image's URL (real web address) with no effect on Ryan's bandwidth bill. Uploading them to your album and displaying them does though so leave the pics where they are and use the image ****on to tell this forum where the images are and presto we all get to smile at the purdy pics without having to leave this site. There's my favorite photo out of the ones you took, though I may be biased as its our 46 ford This year Sarah and I missed our go to show in Salina because of our schedule with moving to KC. So we decided to try a few new shows out to make up for missing our fav. One of these shows was the greaserama and to be honest it wasn't what I expected, but in a good way. Googling images from the previous shows all I saw was dust, rat rods and no shade. But I kept hearing what a great time it was. I ate light on the fear of vomit inducing automotive horrors and we headed 45 miles to the show to find a lush, shady green show field and waaaaay more cars then expected. To be honest there's weren't alot of traditional cars, maybe a few hot rods and fewer trad customs. But there were hardly any street rod or rat rod cars either. While there were some very nicer finished cars, including the California kid in the very cool indoor mini show, most of the cars felt pretty middle of the road. Either in progress or... Hmm how do I say this... Kinda like cars you see at a muscle car show. You know, alot are very close to stock, some are kinda worn out and alot of them are dressed up with no real asthetic direction. It's got different wheels, some valve covers and a stereo. That sort of thing. Not built for a certain period or function sub as racing. Not hating on them I'm just trying to relay what I saw a lot of, they're the kind of cars that you don't really look at at shows but would spend a half our pouring over at the grocery store parking lot if you came across it. Ok kinda rambling here. Anyhow, the show had a pretty cool vibe going on. It honestly felt like a bunch of guys got there got rods together for a camp out and 800 ppl showed up. Kinda like the van shows it feels like this one would be best enjoyed with a small camp of your friends with a grill and cooler. Hell I think a few actually camped out with there cars! Tent and all! And I think maybe that was the whole point. To have a good time with friends who like cars more so then to go check out cars. A little different but still fun. The venders from the swap meet to the decorations and food where not only much more varied and plentiful then I expected by every one that I stopped to look at was priced so reasonable and I dare say cheep! When the standard has become $7 hot dogs and $3 bottles of water paying a buck for either is a welcoming thing for sure. Only real complaint? I think we missed more cars then we saw! And we saw alot. It's understandable that a show with 12 hour days will have people coming and going so the field kinda rotates but I'm talking more of the lack of layout as car as parking. There was no real way to work your way threw and see what was all there. And if I'm being knit picky there was an aweful lot of dirt areas with fences and seats around them to not have a mini bike race or something going on in them haha. Over all glad we went and feel like the new venue was a great step even if it is further away Posted using My **** Tracy watch and the full custom HAMB app
Thanks for posting the link. I guess I now know that you can sit a chick on the cowl of a Model A coupe without denting the cowl. I guess ole Henry planned for such an event and used good metal. Looked like a big turnout.
Oh you can do all sorts of things on old Henry steel without denting it Posted using My **** Tracy watch and the full custom HAMB app
