I made a quick trip from Sacto. to Seattle to pick up a car. This is what I saw.

It kind of looks like those pics could possibly be Chuck Wallaces place along I-5 between Chehalis and Longview? He always has tin sitting out where it is visible from the freeway and alot more that isn't.

I thought that may be Pitbull Wallaces place. Never walked around there, guess no need to after all the stories I hear.

  19. The studebaker looked like a pickup unless those are pics of different vehicles.

The Studie is a Coupe Express. They were made in '37, '38, and '39. As far as I know the passenger car frame was used. The front sheet metal, dash, etc. are all car. Basically they are an early or maybe the first of the Ranchero/El Camino type car.

Went to Google Maps to find out where Sacto is. Google says it doesn't exist.

Sorry, Sacto. is an abbreviation for Sacramento, Ca.

Great pics! Nice to know there's still some cool neon north of Sacto. So much of it has disappeared between there and LA.
The Bardhal plant is too much.

I stopped there a few years back, must have caught him in a good mood. I was looking at the stuff in front & his dog was barking, so he came out. He must have liked my beard 'cause he showed me all around, opening up containers to show the low mileage cars inside slowly deteriorating. Nothing was cheep. BS'ed until dark. Didn't stop last month on my trip north.

  25. My buddies just picked up a 37 studebaker pickup that spent it's life in Temecula.

When did they start making "Utes" in Australia?
