    Hey gang, i've got a simple 2005 Vortec 330HP 350 and would like to change the cam to get more go. I'm running 3 deuces, Stormberg 97's in a 2200 lbs Model A, Rams Horn exhaust manifolds to FlowMaster Super 10 mufflers. Any one got a recommendation ?

    X2 on best value for the dollar. Matching springs, too.

    Valid point, if logic were involved in street rod builds, but reality, logic is pretty much immaterial. Running three '97s on a 350" and ram's horn exhaust is not about making max power, just about the bling. Any current single plane single 4-bbl will suck the bonnets off right off the trips, just doesn't look as cool.

    FWIW, '97s are about 155 CFM each or 465 CFM total. To make good power up to 6,000, we'd need at least 600 CFM.

    Nice to know the cfm of '97s- so really he would need four of them to make decent power, providing he can set them up correctly...

    Something like the old Man-A-Fre 4x2, but then, we'd need headers with O2 sensor bungs and an old guy who really knows how to tune small multiple carbs. And in the end, an Air Gap will always beat the 4x2 for max power.

    It is good to remember there are no time slips given out at the fairgrounds. The HOT cam will give a bit more lope to the idle, still give decent low end torque.

    The stock cam is about as good as you are going to get in that combo;

    Camshaft: Hydraulic flat tappet
    Lift: .435” intake, .460” exhaust
    Duration: 212° intake, 222° exhaust @.050” tappet lift
    Centerline: 109° ATDC intake, 116° BTDC exhaust

    The Intake/Exhaust are the limiters
