I know everybody's waiting to hear my opinion so here it is, no chop it doesn't go with the whole fenders thing. It's all about fung shway man it's gotta tie the room together! Put the front end down for the cl***ic rake. The tunnel of love looks killer, looks alot different than the tunnels of love I'm used to seeing!

Don't chop it. It looks good stock with the fenders. Use that time and effort to bob the rear fenders.

Man dudes the front fender mount is 1 1/2 from the tire it will go no lower it has a mono leaf and a 4 inch drop... but the rear is at it's lowest point. so it may need to come up a notch. I like a very mild chop 1 and 17 6fourts... hahahaha there will be some funky 60's tail and nose treatment by the time we are done. I don't know how to leave well enough alone. later drew

Id go mild, with the fenders on it the bottom half of the body is very thick, if its cut to much it will get out of proportion, in my opinion.

I love them with fenders. Needs a trim up top.

  11. yup.

  12. find a donor roof and raise the roof!! :D

  13. I vote leave it! It has a great early '60's feel to it already, and the high roof is a part of that. I get the same feeling looking as it as I do looking at something like Roth's 'Little Jewel'. You've got great proportions, chromies with skinny whites and pie crusts out back, and an A grille- and the top finishes things off. The only thing I'd say is to drop it a bit more in front- but that's personal preference. I like the 'tall' cars with lots of rake- it adds to the almost cartoonish, stylized theme that worked so well on cars of that era.

Don't whack the top. The 'average Joe' Model 'A' in the late '50's early '60's wasn't cut up, they just ran 15"-16" wheels and a set of sealed beam headlight conversions.

It is good to hear that frizby doesn't think every thing needs chopped, channeled, and sectioned all at once. I new you would come around eventually. Where is that steel you want me to bend up for you? Did you find me some tubing or what?

  16. Thanks for the chop opinions, but how about a name?

    I'm thinking:

    "Angel Dust"
    "The Stratospherian"
    "Space Chimp"
    "The Astronoid"
    "Destination: Ur****"

Dont cut it.. i am gonna need the headroom when i steal it from you.

i know you and the missus are "short" but you will enjoy having the breathing room for "yo big noggins".

If you add 2".. i am going phone booth and adding 6".

    nice.. real nice.

total agree, especially on fendered As, just because its the cool thing.

But dont get me wrong two or three inches would not hurt the look on your ride. Don's and Sam coupes are two of the *****inest i have ever seen.
