Ok, I talked to the boss lady and we're gonna try to go on saturday since I guess that's when most of you guys will be there. Won't be driving anything cool though since I'll be too busy working on it to drive it. We'll have to come up with a time and place to meet up.

10:30 on Saturday sounds good. Maybe we could meet in the "Suede & Chrome" area? I'll be the tall skinny gray-haired guy in a "Jalopy Showdown" T-shirt.

10:30 on Sat in the Suede and Chrome section it is then....

I was going to wear my Jalopy Showdown shirt but that would be bad, would hate to confuse everyone....but then I would be the fat balding guy wearing the Jalopy Showdown shirt, I will be wearing my safari hat (or as Rocky calls it, my gardening hat.) and taking an *** load of pictures.

I'm planning to roll the '51 Shoebox with the family riding shotgun. The goal is to drive down early Saturday morning and spend the day. My kids are dieing to turn laps under the lights, so hopefully they will last that long before melting down.

Hey, the Goodguys page says "no cans or bottles" on the grounds. Does that mean you can't bring a cooler full of sodas and beers?

Looking forward to meeting a bunch of HAMBers in the suede and chrome section at 10:30.

Everyone had beers at the last one I went too. As long as you don't it obvious or turn into a drunken *** I don't think theres any issues.

I was looking on the website about registering at the show to drive in, but it doesn't say how much it costs at the gate. Anyone know? Will they even let me in with a car that has a busted *** old paint job? I'm gonna try REALLY hard to get it mostly in primer and bagged by then so it's more presentable.

If the Show in Charlotte gets boring, the ECTA Maxton meet is that weekend also. Not quite as cool as Bonneville, but a whole lot closer.

I'll be there Friday and Saturday. Hopefully the Crate will too. I'l be wearing the "don't burn your ears" hat with the pin that says "I Can't Drive 55" on it. The Suede and Chrome around 10:30 Saturday sounds good to me.

I'll have a cooler of "Cokes" and "Fresca".
