Guys - I need help. I'm looking for a dark blue 64 dodge 330. It was a factory max-wedge car. 1 of 9 dark blue made and 1 of 3 with a 4 speed. It of course came with the aluminum front end. It was purchased out of Margana Motors in Chicago area in January 64. I now own the car. I'm trying to find some history on it or original owner. Rumors are that the original owner was out of Madison, WI.. It raced mostly in the mid west. At some point the rear wheel wells were cut out, it had a flip front end and it was painted red on the bottom, silver in the middle and blue on the roof / hood and deck lids. If anyone remembers the car, knows the car or has pictures of any dark blue 64 dodge max wedge cars, please post or let me know. Thanks! Rob
This is a cover of september 1964. Notice the dark blue max wedge in 2nd row. Anyone know this car. I have one of 9 dark blue Max Wedge cars built in 64. Trying to find history on it.. wondering if this is my car.
I have some video of that race. It will be a while before i can look for it. Give me a pm in november.
While I don't have any useable information for you I want to wish you luck in finding out about your car. I haven't been a member here too long and I'm always amazed how many people have information about these old race cars. It seems like no matter how old and obscure a car may seem to be, someone, somewhere saw the car run in it's heyday and loved it and remembers some little detail about it. Then someone else will remember something else and pretty soon the history comes together like a puzzle. Again, good luck. Doc
here is what the car looks like now.. but it never raced like this.. it was painted in 90 and never raced.. I'm trying to find what the car looked like in the 60s It was a EE1 dark blue 4 speed.. then it looks like at some point, the rear fenderwells were cut out, it was painted red on bottom, silver/grey in middle and dark blue on roof, hood and deck lid.
Racer X - That would be awesome if you have any footage. Thanks for looking. I think the car maybe the Mopar Midget. The blue dodge in the picture has writing on the side and a name. I can't make it out for sure.. but name looks like earl or carl...
