I am building my 1940 chevy 216 and am wondering if the parts over the years had changed in specs. In total will a 45' water pump (for example) fit my 40' engine. I know my mechanis portion but a little finicky on my parts knowledge. Thanks guys.

Go to www.chevsofthe40s.com, they will be a great source of info and parts. Good people to deal with and they even have NOS and some hard to find used parts.
