Event Coverage Watertown, SD-Vintiques Rod Run (photo heavy)

Man, I miss going to this. Used to cruise over from Rapid City in the sedan when we lived there. This one is a definite good time. Last one I made it to was 2006. Nice to see some of the cars staying just the same.

 

Had 4 years in a row of awsome weather!!!!

I really like the '32 5 Window too. Can you tell me please if it is a new car or something with history ? Thanks so much for posting the photos and may I add that you have mastered the new camera well and I appreciate the excellent sized photos without having to enlarge each one.

 

thanx' for the nice comments...I took another 800 photos at the drags this week in glaring sun, still working on that "light thing"...but it sure is fun to practice with it.

Is that the one that I saw at Frog Follies 2011? It was my favorite of the event that year.

 

I see this is an old thread (another one I missed) I really love the gold color on that 34 3 window. Would anyone care to take a guess where that color came from? Maybe a factory gold with some flatener?

 

I think it is Hot Rod Flatz Gold but Dakota Kid can tell you.

 

I love the purple 32' five window coupe with the flame arresters! Anybody know who makes them?

 

Nope, Me and my 36 Roadster have never been to the Frog Follies. There are a couple roadsters out there that look very similar to mine (or mine to theirs).

 

Well, shucks. The one I saw was from Watertown, SD and had the same stance as yours. Had yours been at the 2011 Frog Follies, it would have been my other favorite at the event, along with the '36 from Watertown.

 

Headin out after work! Weather looks to be great again this year. Always a good show.

 

Looking forward to this year! Been there for the past few years, will be the first year as a participant. Can't wait!
