Flathead Hypereutecic pistons ?? Where ??

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by OldoginMd, Sep 7, 2013.

  1. I am rebuilding a 51 8BA flathead for my A and have heard and read threads here that I should replace the stock pistons [ I need to bore 30 over anyway ] with Hypereutectic pistons . This is my first experience with a flat 8

Maybe I am searching the web wrong but am have trouble finding a source for what I need .

Does any one know a source for a standard bore 3.1875 + .030 piston and maybe moly rings to go with it ? Of course I would need all related bearings / gaskets that go with a rebuild and would prefer to get it all at one place

    Thanks Oldog

  5. I have tried all of the above with no luck yet ... here I thought the pistons would have been the easiest part .......
