Beautiful, first cl*** work. Finished product will be stunnning. I can think of no negative comments that could be made regarding this build. I do have one question: Wouldn't it have been easier and less trouble to paint the dark body highlights first, then the major light green body? This would save a lot of work.

  10. Thanks! I don't question the painter, it looks great to me. :D

  12. Looking fine!

  13. As someone who has painted 2-tones before, and particularly in this case where the lighter color is everywhere, it is far less trouble to do the highlights second. From prep, taping, and coverage this approach makes the most sense.

This is coming out to be a real top-shelf rod. can't wait to see the finished interior, and the whole package reunited with the frame.

Yep nearly always light before dark, of course there are exceptions but this isn't one.

Just read this start to almost finish, fantastic build, beautiful car, great engine and I love the idea behind and choice of color! Can't wait to see it finished!

  21. Got off work last night and headed up to Marty's. When I got there He had plenty of guys to help drop the body in place.

I got the job of guiding the body over the shifter. Was to watch the trans. dip stick too but it hit and scratched the paint. Ouch! Oh well it's just an old car. right? It'll touch up.

Body going down in place, Marty and Skipper are doing a fine job! To find guys like this that are strong and good looking ain't easy. :p

Love the body drop done on the street. It's amazing a build of this quality retains some of the old school build practices.

Looking great Tim. That's gonna be one fine looking hotrod! You did it right, get that first scratch out of the way early and then you can get on with the details. :p

That is great, you are showing us how it's done Tim. I'm jealous, I'm so damned slow on my project :)
