so i finally picked up the motor i made a deal on a few weeks back . its a 41 59A motor with original early edelbrock heads and an original early eddie meyer slingshot intake and fuel block !! it was recently rebuilt with less than 500 miles on it and parked in his damp garage where every fastener on the car and the engine rusted. it has an alternator and new dual point distributor . i'm gonna clean it up and paint it black , i can't stand red !!!! the guy i got it from was just given the car (31 chopped tudor sedan) by his father who has lost his vision and can't drive , and the son is putting a 302 roller ford motor in it with a 4spd and a 9" rear. i did some horse trading and ended up having a little more into it than i wanted to but i have seen the intakes alone sell for 1500 ish .so i am not in it too deep just higher than i planned . he threw in a repop beehive oil filter ............ i may look into a bracket to put a generator or look alike alt/generator on it and just make it look nicer , i think it will look good in the all gloss black ch***is once i get to that point and even though i am running a hood top and sides on this car i am stoked to have an original eddie meyer intake on it !!!

Hey, did you ever mix that paint? I'm curious what the final color was.

You going to the Little York show?

yes i will be at little york but not until after noon , i am volunteering at a lung cancer research fund raiser all morning at long branch park

no i haven't mixed any paint yet , its gonna be a year or so before i actually put paint on this car i can't bring my self to take any more of the factory primer and paint off it right now, i wish i was clearer headed when i started cleaning this thing up , i probably could have gotten away with only lightly sanding it back to a factory finish and clearing over it and having a sick looking finish !! i am going to do the ch***is this winter in gloss black and have it completely done for good and i'm going to do the patch panels on the car but leave the patina for now ..............as soon as i am ready to make the move and paint it i will let you know as i am definitely going with whatever color ends up coming out of that can !! LOL
