    bone stock 144 straight six

its been a long time coming but i am on what i believe is the home stretch of my engine freshen up for my 63 falcon (two jobs, college, and a semi social life. its taken three months to get the top end done) ive finally gotten new steel lines plumbed for fuel, new pumps all around, new rubber and sourced a new rocker adjusting bolt. its all fresh up top. now that being said, when i first got the car it ran very well for being in the condition it was, no spit or sputter, but now that it has a full five quarts of oil, a head gasket with no tears and all 12 valves open and close properly it just wont run "right"

so far heres the laundry list of things that ive went through
-head with new valve seals and lapped valves
    -fuel pump
    -lines
    -head gasket and cleaned surface
    -all carb gaskets
    -points/condenser/cap and set timing
    -vacuum lines
    -coil
plus other non related stuff, that ll being said it still cuts out when i smash the throttle and wont run when the choke is wide open.
if it runs lean itll run fine but spew fuel out the tail pipe. any ideas?

Sense somewhere...how can it run lean AND spew fuel out the tailpipe?
Water is a natural byproduct of combustion--not spewing water?
Get the vacuum gauge and look at the readings.
Should be high and smooth. No needle flicking.

"Won't run with choke open".....Narrows it down to a vacuum leak.
