Well Guys and Gals we've had some fun with this one...and we've ( me mostly) learned a few things.
Rust is a relative term "One man's treasure is another man's junk."
Never buy a car that you haven't seen " Don't buy a pig in a poke."
For the record I have filed a claim with both Ebay and PayPal and haven't heard back anything yet, I'm getting worried it has been 4 days...and Ebay said 24-36hrs.
The Seller "Keith" has even called the trucking company to ask if I was telling the truth about having to tow the car home and did it really leak oil all over his truck, and told the Driver that I was suing him (the seller) The driver told me "I told the little *****, yes it had to be towed because he didn't want to push it, and yes it leak motor oil and rear end oil, and if he is suing you I'm going to court with him." truth is, I'm not suing anybody.
If Ebay doesn't help me get all or part of my dough back and I do get **** with this rust bucket.I'm listing it back on ebay with the whole story and an acurate description and we'll have some more fun...

" NO RUST THAT I KNOW OF! DAMN STEVIE WONDER COULD FIND RUST ON THIS BOMB!"

WELL, I'll try and keep it brief............

I guess own the wagon.....I have filed every type of claim possible. Since it took 40days for me to get the satan wagon. ( gas shortage Hurricane Katrina) I'm not eligible for Ebay's Vehicle Purchase Protection . The limit is 35 days.....damn! so that's out........
If I want to stay in limbo I can.....nothing for nothing
If I want "Escalate My Claim" thru the Buyer Proctection I do so by "Closing the Dispute" and then I might be be eligible for a $200.00 refund minus the $25.00 fee. the amazing thing is the EBAY live chat LOOP....Ebay instructed me to go to a live chat to solve my problem. After typing back and forth, the first person couldn't help (not their area of expertise) he gave me a link to a person that could better help me in my area..each person would move me to the next person that could help me 4 chats later. The last person actually give me a link that would start me from the beginning again..........After I called her on it. She admitted I was done.....apply for the $200.00 and sorry
So, I have started working on the wagon...........ugh..

I just sold a 50 Ford on ebay. I got trade offers like a Saturn Wagon, bikes, vettes, and a 54 Caddy I almost went for . The guy that bought it drove 2 1/2 hrs too see it before he bid. I'm glad he did. Now theres no confusion as to its condition. I think that from now on I might make that a stipulation of bidding, you come see it first. I've bought 3 cars on Ebay, and each one had some embellishment in its description, but all in all I'm happy with them

Man this really sux. I told my self a while back if I ever bought a car off of ebay I would have to be able to go and look at or have someone I know and trust that's close to it take a looke at it. PLus i would try to keep my search confined to Texas. Just becuase I don't want to get burned. I hope you can find some sort of good out of all this before it's all over.

I hear that. I live in AZ and have had guys ask if I could repair their "rust bucket", but here it means a few rust paint bubbles in the 1/4 doors. :D

Always beware of any Northeast car. The culprit is ROAD SALT. Eats the **** out of anything in a few years.
Also a lot of hurricane swamped coastal cars were resold inland to ****ers years before computers got into the act. I got ****ered into a 70 427 wagon in 73 that looked and ran good. A few months later I pulled the door handle right off the rotted door skin! Luckily the county DA already had a stack of complaints on the dealer and I was able to get all my money back.

Well, is there a fellow hamber that lives close to Roger that would be willing to go take a picture of him and check out his arrogantness, then report back to me on his condition, so I can make a educated decision?

ElPly, no need to get a fellow HAMBer to post a pic...go check out my website: www.RAJetter.com ,there's a pic of me, next to my taildragger and a ton of pix of my cars...and if you are interested, you can order my book while there...BTW, there's a second volume in the works...

And if you happen to see (or read) "The Friday Nite Read" (on Friday evenings, duh!) you mite not want to miss this Fridays...it's all about this thread and the "players" in it!

Your a fine person to be judging arrogance! WE have the ability to figure it out for ourselves. Your help isn't required.

Listen...I don't know if he'd peg your "Arrogant-ness meter" or not, but if he does it must be a very sensitive tool...not unlike yourself.

I've had the pleasure of Emailing one on one with Roger and had some dealings with him over these last few years and I'm happy to report he has ALWAYS treated me with the utmost respect and consideration.

Rogers first post in this thread is now out of context because the post he was answering was CHANGED! Don't you get that?

ALL the other answers he made on this thread were tongue in cheek responses to posts made by people who didn't realize things had been changed!
For that matter...he might not have even realized the post had BEEN changed himself when he responded to some of those people.

This is the internet. **** gets misunderstood...big deal.

Looking forward to your new "Friday Night Read" Roger! Bet it's gonna be a laugh!

Wooooa!...My post was intended in jest to the direction this thread was going, which I think Roger knew when he read it. But, I do have a dry sense of humor, and.... just maybe, you might need a little more of one.

Nope, not at all. Just noting a lack of ability to adhere to what was stated. Point proven again.

EXCELLENT proof that what I said was true!

QUOTE: "This is the internet. **** gets misunderstood..."

I TOTALLY misunderstood your intention with that post...still seems like a dig at Roger when I reread it though...

My sense of humor is intact, but like a lot of people, sometimes on the Net it requires a smiley or a LOL or a Hahahaha to activate.

You didn't give me much to go on Plymino....I CAN'T see the grin on your face while you type, you know!

you know, i thought id add, to this thread since i just had another ebay experience.

i just sold my 54 chevy truck, (which should have graced the pages of RF's magazine) on ebay. i had a "goldchainer" ******** buyer on the first auction, but on the relist, i met a great guy named brian, he is 34 and lives in phoenix,az. he has an advertising agency. turned out to be the best person i could have sold my truck too. someone who cares about it, will treat it with respect, i got what i wanted finacially out of it, and i met a new friend out of the deal!

its not too often that you get to make a good friend out of a car deal!
ebay is like life, ITS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT.

I try to ***ume the worst, then your arent let down when its bad, and pleasantly surprised when its great!

You weren't saying that...you were saying it was "better than" and "belonged in", so I asked why. Nothing personal, but comparing a half-finished traditional truck to a finished contemporary or even restored truck is lame.

and what makes it an unfinished truck cuz its in primer? and doesnt have billet wheels? or ***gety *** flames like most of the truck i see in there?

what isnt finished on my truck? NOTHING i have put more miles on my truck since vegas than most people do in a year.

and it needs nothing, oh yeah, it was built in 23 day for viva las vegas, and was a rollover to start with, no camera crews, no discovery channel..
no pussies,..no ********. REAL BUILDING IN A REAL HOUSEHOLD GARAGE, AND ALL DONE AT HOME!

compare that to the "cainers" that sent theirs off to be built with me again and you will lose
