    Does anyone have pics on a 46-47 Ford g***er ! I am building one and wanna se how other people did. I appricate all pics you got! Thanks from Sweden.

    You don't see too many 46-48 Ford g***ers for some reason.

    Not any heavier then alot of the cars you see done g***er style. Right in that 3,300 pound range with full interior etc.

    That Ford has all the seams filled and fenders welded. Phil was a smart guy, he machined the parts to move the distributor from the back of the fuel injected Olds to the front. Not sure why. Anybody know?

  11. Owning a 47, I'd guess the distributor moved to the front because you can't reach anything under that barn door of a hood.

  16. More accurate timing. Camshafts can actually twist when large lifts and stiff valve springs are used causing the timing to be erratic if the distributor is the last item being driven.
     
  17. I watched Fire Suit Phill at Norwalk a few years ago-The old Ford hauls *** and is a lot of fun to watch
