just wanted to say hello and show off my ride alittle bit. 1952 chevy 2 door sedan. been in my home town since it was new. set most of its life under a lean-to, till I got ahold of it. now setting on a speedway straight axle, 305sbc with mild cam, 5speed, 4 wheel disc brakes, cross arm steering....I love driving it, not every day that you see a 20 year old driving a straight axle g***er around :p. anyway just love seeing the cars and trucks on here have a good day guys/gals!!!

p.s. hope the pics show up...these darn computers confuse me!!

You're 20 years old and a computer confuses you?
    That's funny.
Looks like you're taking the old gal in the right direction, but that huge tank on the front looks awkward.

im back and forth on the tank.... of course in the old days it was much smaller (hilborn injection cars and such) but for now it serves as a fuel tank. might come off in the future and go back under the car but for now im just enjoyin the car as is haha

Welcome, 52GG. Always good to see young guys into the old stuff.

    I had a '52 myself some years back. Just a stocker with a 235.

That's fine...do what you want. Just understand that no g***er ever had a visor or an external tank that big. That's all the guys are saying. And since this is a traditional forum, it goes against the grain and at a minimum, you're gonna hear about it from the membersship.

that was the only option at the time of the build. only places I could find the factory fuel tank were 250-300 plus the 80 sender and i wanted it on the road so the 100 dollar tank on the front was easy, fast, and cheap way to go. it will end up with another tank under the car sometime...i wasn't sure were to post this at so its probably in the wrong section, sry about that. as for the visor, i don't realy care if people don't like it on a g***er. i feel it makes the roof line look a lot better on the 49-54 cars. would i have put it on there if it wasn't already there, no, but it was there so im leaving it. i don't feel my ride is very mixed up at all thank you

As long as the guy that owns it likes it, that's all that matters. To each his own.
