    Hello Everyone,

I am seeking as much information on Carl Grimes and his Wild Wagon (1948 Crosley Body/Desoto Chassis). My understanding is its the very first entrant and the very first qualifier in the very first NHRA national in 1955. It was featured in Hot Rod April 1955 and was once housed in the NHRA Museum.

I do have a lot of information on this car, however I am seeking to learn as much as possible.

It can be seen briefly in this YouTube video @ 0.46 seconds. Any other videos this car might be in?

If you have any information on this car that you'd like to share, please feel free to post. The car resides in my garage and is a blast to drive.

You've probably already seen this? http://deansgarage.com/2011/carl-grimes-wild-wagon/

Lots of neat pics. I believe the shop shown in most of them (4405 north 7 street, Phoenix) is now European car specialist, 4401 north 7 street (small block building in the back, minus extra bay on the left). Could be original building but has enlarged front opening with two doors. Building to the west was a gas station (at one time Marsh's Humble Service Station, 4401 north 7 St.) and market to the east still there.

Also, I believe his house where many of the other pics were taken was at 4326 north 25 street, Phoenix, which has sadly been raised for new lofts.
