Mitchell, SD Outkasts Hot Rod Show?

Three reasons, Tom. This my story and I'm sticking to it. I'm sorry we missed you though, I thought you and Char were going to be in Mitchell.

1. The weather looked like it was going to **** with the rain, wind and cold. You know what it gets like up around that lake when its cold and windy. Just call me the roadster wimp.

2. I had a union meeting on Saturday and since I am an officer I thought I had better be there.

3. We bought a shop building in the nearby town (4 miles away) of Crooks that used to be their fire station. It is a 3000 sq. ft. building with a 40' X 55' shop and 40' X 20' party room and kitchen. We have been cleaning, repainting, putting new (used) cabinets and laying new tile in the kitchen. Generally just spiffing the place up before I rent most of shop for heated storage this winter. Bottom line is their just isn't enough hours in the day/week to get everything done before winter.

The weather looked good this last weekend and Mitchell was a little closer and easier to do since we both work Saturdays and were able to get off early enough to still make it up there by 1:00 PM. I really needed a break from working my *** off lately.

 

Went this year, there were 215+ cars in the show, Going for sure next year. This is an awsome club, they want things that are works in progress, Rat rods and junk yard dogs, my 52 fits right in with them..
