Its been like a year since I "bought" this A coupe... and now FINALLY I actually have posession of it... well, Carl "Kroozn1" has posession of it... its at his place, but its finally MINE ALL MINE! Yay! I guess I'll be going thru it later on next week and come up with a plan. I'm just happy to finally HAVE it and not have to say "I have an A but its still in the back yard of the previous owner".
Congrats Gracie, that whle car looks awesome, what a starting point! Any ideas at all where your going to head with it?
Lookin' good, Gracie. What happens next? On another note, I came through Las Vegas yesterday and thought about calling but, I stopped and visited my daughter instead. Catch you on another trip. Wayno
Do you suppose I could talk Carl out of these? They were sitting so close... I could have just thrown them into the rumble and.... naw... I'm too honest.
I don't have real plans yet... I have to consult with my mentor, Bleh, to see what's next. It runs, although I've not run it yet... someone's gonna have to teach me how to start it... the oldest car I've ever driven is the 49... I know nothing about spark advance and all that... The seat cover is fairly new brown nauga... VERY dirty in these pics... it has a new top insert too... and the tires are good so yay. I don't have the bumpers cuz the previous owner just had them chromed and I would have had to pay an extra $300 to include them... and it was hard enough coming up with what I did have to pay to get this. I'm just amazed to see something that's metal with no rust... being from Bama and all... that's a hard thing for me to get my mind around...
Nice original Model A. One thought, you might be happier with a roadster body & then you could give me the coupe body for a Christmas present! Gary 4T950 Chevy Guy
You are a VERY lucky girl! You deserve it.........now drive the ****er like it is and enjoy it for a few years before you cut your teeth on it! Nice to see one just as and not chopped, dropped and hotrodded out. **x Brandy
I don't have real plans yet... I have to consult with my mentor, Bleh, to see what's next. ...oh I'm sure we can figure something out.
Wow Gracie! The car looks to be in great shape.... good find! I agree with Brandy... I'd drive it as is for a few years while you figure out your build plan. Gives you time to enjoy it while you collect parts. Have fun!
Looks freakin great! One question....does it still have the mechanical brakes? You might want to upgrade to early juice brakes before you get on the road...after that, I agree with Brandy...Drive The **** Outta It!
Congrats Gracie, keep us posted on any progress. Like others have said, I'd just drive it stock for awhile. A-bones are fun when they are like Henry produced them. 'course them damn hot rodders ruined that when they dicided they wanted to go faster. Frank
You've got a good mentor there Gracie. Congrats on getting it home finally. I want to see it next time I'm up there. The condition of it rules! jerry
GREAT... Congratulations... I love it when a HAMBer gets the ride they want.......and a nice little coupe too...... I would put the hydraulic brakes on and just drive it..... .
