It looks like a Logge front axle and torsion bar kit. Even the back of the ch***is looks like a style they used. The two uprights to the roll bar, and the roll bar comes down to the rear end then stops, ( someone added some tubes p***ed that point). The main rail layout does look rather strange. Look at the ch***is that is used in the 1964 A& B Speed Shop dragster, there are some building similarities.

This one is homemade for sure, guessing it was built before at least the mid-60s, as the 3-point roll bar started to become standard then. Where did you find it?

The ch***is, early to maybe mid 60's, the tuned headers on the Poncho, late 70's; the era of the econo-dragster. What's the story with the red front section standing upright? Every time someone posts about a front engine dragster they've found, It takes me back to my old FED; I rather have that car back than the rear engine, Super Comp dragster that I replaced it with. I still have my old firesuit, but can't zip the jacket up; the boots still fit. Butch/56sedandelivery.

Ok thanks so far for the responses..
Here's what I know from my friend that gave it to me. In the early 70's some guys modified the ch***is putting the front rails side by side trying to get more 'flex' out of it but made the car uncontrollable after the 1/8 mile. Only history beyond that was the car ran a blown Pontiac but when we have no idea but it did run out of Michigan . It has a 56-58 olds rearend and the original front axle is long gone. From the minimal pics I've found it looks like A 62 logghe configuration but very hard to tell. There has been cobbling going on but one thing for sure the bends on the main rails and roll cage area are pretty nice almost too nice to have been done in a garage back then and the original welds are very nice. Not sure what I will do with it but tracing back it's history and origin are becoming a fun project.

The red section was given to my friend by the s****yard owner where he rescued the ch***is from years ago. Guy gave it to him for the axle and torsion setup. It looks to have been off a ch***is that had a big engine explosion and bent the bottom rail around the engine area. Guessing by what I see it was cut away at the slip joint and was front halved.

56 Olds rear is not the same as 57-64

While simular to a Logghe in design, the Logghe roll bar was of single bend design and did not taper
