I got 56 chevy 235 im assuming its gotta be a clog somewhere in the rocker arm shaft, its lubricating from all rocker arms EXCEPT the one in the the center i believe its a intake one it does not lubricate at all i found out because i ended up getting a bent push rod in that same rocker arm so I've changed that but its not lubricating on that one alone im looking into fixing it tomorrow any suggestions how to go by this.

Once you pull the RS assy off you might get lucky and be able to slide that rocker sideways enough to access the lube hole. Small drill bit -wire -whatever and clean that hole, air blast won't hurt either.

So i possibly won't have to remove any of the rocker arms?
Also on of the springs seems to be sliding out of place i guessing i would have to find new springs on the rocker arm shaft

If you are lucky and the sun rises in the east! LOL Springs about the only place would be the old Chevy parts people, one only get a piece of music wire and hand wind one. They ain't rocket parts.

If it were on my engine, I'd remove the entire assembly, disassemble it, and clean everything to see what was what....it's not complicated. Just lay everything out in order as it comes off of the shafts.

  6. Yep! I gotta agree with HEATHEN, do it right. Take it off, disassemble ( laying it out in the order it comes apart ), clean and reassemble. Do it once, do it right....

Easy to tear down the whole thing and clean. I did mine just to be safe, a couple were oiling pretty weak. Simple process, go for it.

Its been awhile, and this may not be relevant since it is one rocker arm. But one of the head bolts (near the center of the head, passenger side, if memory serves), should be a special one drilled with an oil passage. Someone with better knowledge can verify this and help determine if this could be a possible contributing factor.

Well i got it fixed all rocker arms all lubricating, but I just ran into another problem after reinstalling the rocker arm assembly everything worked fine but the next day i heard a rattling noise so i took the valve cover off and looks like one of the lifters is stuck the push rod seem all the way down i just had poured mystery oil prior and it was fine now its stuck I've read i should use resilone? Should I pour it directly down to that lifter?

I know some like it or hate it, but I did leave that out before. I poured a quart of reslone over mine after I checked to see if it was oiling. My motor had also set up for about 17 years.
