Hello Fellows, I have a question, I am going to install a 60 amp, single wire alternator on my 1950 Pontiac Chieftan. I was told by the alternator man, to be safe,I should have protection for the wiring, in case the alternator should ever short out. A maxi fuse or fusible link or circuit breaker, something like that. My question is what would be best and where exactly should it be installed in the wiring. Off the alternator wire or where? I am not to knowledgable about this electrical stuff. The car is stock 6 volt with no added electrical demands, Would 30 amp protection be correct. Thanks in advance. fredo51
