Mickey Thompson Picture Thread

All great stuff, I really like the intakes for the FORDS!

 

The blue car had a Homan and Moody NASCAR engine, the other two cars had HM Boss 302 engines. They set amost 300 FIA records at Bonneville in 1968. Danny Thompson restored the blue car ( Mickey's favorite car and color) , sold to the Hiajc (spelling) collection in OK, who them build a current new Mustang which Danny drove to several Bonneville records, one being set at over 250 MPH upside down

 

I have the Revell 1/16 scale model kit of this one..... Or is it the candy red car???... I gotta look....

The one pictures is from '64. I have 3 different early M/T catalogs (including the one shown ) with the other 2 dated '62. One must be very early in the year. Much was being developed at that time and a newer, larger catalog was needed before the end of the year. Those 2 are quite rare. One has the Challenger on the cover. I collect and run M/T Pontiac Hemi stuff .
My avator is one of my M/T HEMI Pontiac engines.

Not sure if this thread is for pictures of Mickey himself? or M/T items?

center cap from a set of M/T Dukes soon to be on my Fairlane. the ebay seller even included the ten original M/T lug nuts he had. funky looking things but I wish I had a set of 'em.

 

I have 2 of those wheel caps. I also have a set of vintage headers with the header caps. The header caps are for a 2.5 inch pipe. I also have a Mickey Bike with the ID plate and minature torq thrust wheels.

 

Mickey in the Assault with team. Which one is Fritz Voight?

 

You know Danny Thompson has a facebook page and he posts pictures almost every day

 

Here is a pretty cool shot a friend emailed me a week ago or so. Never seen this one before i don't think.

 

I found out something I thought was pretty cool last weekend at the World Series of Drag Racing...Supposedly these are original M/T valve covers that they only made for like a 6-month period back in the day. Anyone have any more information on them or have a set themselves? How many were actually produced???

 

The mini bike in the picture is a Mickey Bike. That is the missing link for some collectors. The picture is reversed somehow. Everything on the mini bike is reversed.

Photos of my car when M/T owned it and with Butch Leal driving it. Ford bought this LWG off Tasca's lot and sent it to LA Assembly Plant for delivery to M/T. I have the original copies of the Tasca to Ford invoices as well as the M/T Enterprise invoice when they sold it, with Fritz Voigt's signature.

I have a set of the early "Thompson" Hemi covers on my '62 M/T Hemi Pontiac engine. The Hemi Pontiac and 392 Chrys use the same rocker cover. Not sure if this is the same style you are asking about or not.
