Hi guys, been looking around this site for a while. Ive built two cars since a surfing accident left me wheelchair bound 13 years ago. I build the cars myself - stripping, welding and fabrication, mechanical wood work, interiors. the only part of the build I outsource is the painting. First car I did was a 68 Mercedes, where I shoehorned in a 350 ZZ4 chevy motor and then strapped a couple of T04E turbos to it. That car took me 4 years and has won quite a few trophys over the last few years. Then I came across a 37 Oldsmobile. Two weeks after I bought it the guy calls me asking me when I am coming to pick up the 'parts car'. I had no idea but the 37 came with a whole other parts car! When I got it home I realised that it was too complete for a parts car, so I threw an LS1 into it, used a late model GM centre steer rack in it and did a front disc conversion on it, hooked it up to NOS, gave it a 8 inch roof chop and 5 inch channel and turned it into a ratrod. Now I have just started on a 58 Olds super 88 2 door hardtop. Its a full body off restoration job. Ive kept all the cars I have built and me and the better half get a lot of enjoyment out of them
