I have seen spec sheets for some old cars that have been turned into pdf's that can be downloaded. Does anyone happen to have a .pdf spec sheet or owners manual for the 1950 Ford Custom?
Kenny, Check this link: http://www.amazon.com/1949-1950-Service-Repair-Manual/dp/B0007IN9LW I bought this one and it's pretty decent. (I almost gave it to you when you bought the car, but I wanted to keep it so I could use it to work on the flathead in the Model A.) I've seen them available in CD ROM format too. I can't recall where I bought it. I think it was mail order. I've seen it available on Ebay too. Good luck.
Thank you Steve. I'll check it out. I always think having a big ass list of reference details help with anything.
Yes, I refer to that manual often. ...Seems I can never remember even little things like the correct plug gap. Getting old...
It would be cool to have but I was referring more to these .pdf files some folks have made that had every tidbit of info about whatever car they were made for. I've seen some for other cars that had everything from head spacing measurements to stock cam #s, wheelbase, factory part numbers for almost everything on the car, etc. Most of that stuff will still cross reference to new part numbers.
Hey Kenny Allen, Online, you'll want to take a detailed look at "The Old Car Manual Project" at its website, called "www.oldirononline.com". Elsewhere, the best source for Shoebox Ford product parts, accessories, paper-copy manuals and free expert advice for your ride is "www.shoebox-central". Telephone (405) 259-9222 in Oklahoma City and ask for Chris. I'm a satisfied customer there. Good luck!! mr50s
The Green Bible (shop manual) is pretty comprehensive, and join the Shoebox Group while you're at it... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=127
