Does anyone make an anglia spindle that will fit on a ford axle? I have a speedway tube axle at the moment, but will be switching to a ford axle when my spindle mounts show up.

What is your end goal ?
If you are looking to put Anglia spindle mount wheels on a car that has ford spindles,
you can re-machine the ford spindle spud to take the Anglia bearings. You'll have a tough time getting an Anglia spindle to fit a ford axle.

Iam putting spindle mounts on, I am not sure of the Anglia dimensions. I don't mind machining these down if I could get the specs.

depending on the wheel , you can easily use a spindle mount wheel for a strange strut on a ford spindle....just saying..:D machining the spindle is about the only way you get the Anglia bearings to work on a ford spindle...

its is pretty much the same as running a late model disk brake kit...we used a disk brake adapter bushing on the back side ...the piece that looks sorta like a top hat. have to check what bearing on the outer. I have a set of strange strut hubs at my buddy's machine shop that we were making brake parts for. but figure the strange strut is a copy of a 70's Camaro spindle spud.

  7. I thought Anglia was Ford. So Anglia spindle is already on a Ford axle.

  8. Anyway, here is the anglia dimensions.

You might look at what "The Chassis Shop" sells (if they're still around). They have an Anglia speced 4130 spindle piece (spud??) that you might weld into a modified Ford spindle.

  12. Which is .984" as shown above :D

Just looked and my old dogeared BCA Quick Reference Specification Manual lists both a .9842 and a .9843 (25mm) bearing bore size.

Here's the specs, bearing and seal numbers posted in 2006.

  17. I wonder if .0001(one ten-thousandth) will make a difference?;)

Ford(U.S.) king pins are larger and the boss longer than Engilsh (Anglia Ford) . Therefor the US spindle could be turned, shortened and rethread, but nor easily. Spindle mounted Wheels were avaiable with U.S. Ford Bearings. Fairly common at racer flea markets.
