I have bought a 1932 Ford Truck well was advised it was a 1932--dis***embled. I am trying to find out information about the differences in the hood as to find out what year it is for. It Is a 4 piece and has 22 louvers and has 7 hinges down the side. Any knowledge is appreciated. I am new to this site and trying to post a picture but can not load. I did see the same hood I have on ebay item# 290925767630 but the seller on that Item says he is unsure also. Thanks for reading.

Thunderbirdesq--Thanks! I been trying to research all over and everything I had found about a 32 was saying either 20 or 25 louvers, then I found this one on ebay so I am thinking the person who I bought this from may have been unsure if it is a 32 or 34 ford. It is a project truck that the previous owner had started on. Thanks

The front of a 32 hood side will have the same measurment from the front edge of the hood to the first louver at both top and bottom. On the 33-34 this measurement will be shorter at the top and longer at the bottom, kind of a wedge shape. I hope this makes sense.

Welcome to the HAMb. Are you sure your cab is a '32? The firewall is removable on a '32 and part of the cab on a 33-34. Bob

According to Rootlieb, 1909-1932 cars and trucks use the same hood, except for 1926-27 which use a 1924-25 hood. This is 32 p***enger car / PU dimensions as well as 34 & 34 PU hoods.

What are you talking about? Look at the diagram you posted,1909-1932 cars and trucks use the same hood,,sorry pal your wrong.

The 1932 Ford hoods are a one year only and were available depending on which factory made them in several side panel variations,,the most common on States side is the 20 and 25 louver.

The 32 Hood fit both p***enger car and pickup,,also the bigger trucks.

The 33/34 Ford truck hood were different than the p***enger car hoods.

The easiest way to spot the difference in a 33 and 34 truck hood is in the louvers in the side panels,,,the 33 Ford trucks louvers are normal ,,

The 34 Ford truck hood has a drop across the top of the louvers about mid way for a V8 emblem. HRP

You are backwards on the 33-34 hoods. The '34 hood is the one with the v-8 logo.

IF you bought a Truck in 1934 with a four cylinder engine did you get a '33 hood or a '34 without the V8 badge on the sides? Bob

I was told that the 4 cyl hood was actually a 33 Hood. I cannot confirm. I bought this as a 33 hood for my 34. I did not the want the "hic-cup In the louvers.

Pretty easy to tell a 33 from a 32... the side curtain had a dip in the bottom edge 32s are straight. 33s and 34s will interchange

Also check for the gas tank location. 32 will be under the seat. I had a customer with a "34" that turned out to be a 32 cab and fenders and 34 everything else.

I think 1/2 of the streetrod 32 P/Us are actually 34s with the extra belt molding. Built from parts and ***led as a 32 for the coolness factor.

This one was ***led as a 34, I think if the "builders" realized it was a 32 cab they would have charged the guy a lot more for it.

The 34 model B pickup and truck use the same hood side as the V8. There is a numeral 4 in place of the V8.

I bet plenty of '34 pickups rolled out of the factory with left-over '33 hoods. Henry didn't waste one ounce of anything.
